Brian was a member of the Irish 4x400m team that placed 5th and set a new Irish record of 3.01.67 at the European Athleitcs Championships in Zurich. Brian wond silver in the 400m at the U23 European Track and Field Championships in 2011. In 2012 e represented Ireland in the 400m at the Track and Field Championships in Helsinki, finishing sixth in the final. The Dublin athlete also competed at the World Championships in 2013, qualifying for the semi finals. Brian was a graduate of DCU and also competed in two World University Games in 2011 and 2013 finishing 5th place in both occasions. He is the second fastest Irish man ever over the 400m with a personal best of 45.53. Rosemont school are really excited to have Brian come and give a talk to the students about the importance of having some sort of physical activity in their lives. This ties in nicely with why Rosemont are hoping to achieve the active school flag this year and promote the importance around this. Brian will also be promoting Rosemont’s school chair to 5km run which will be taking place this year during their Healthy Living Week (7th-12th of March). There is a lot to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.
